He went on to receive his medical degree from the prestigious NYU School of Medicine and Bellevue Hospital, followed by rigorous surgical training at Vanderbilt and Wake Forest Universities. He later completed an elite plastic surgery fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital, affiliated with Harvard Medical School, where he developed the foundation for his advanced techniques—especially in male breast reduction, now a focus at the Charlotte Gynecomastia Center.
Dr. Ditesheim is board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and actively involved in several national and local medical organizations, including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the North Carolina Society of Plastic Surgeons, where he served as president.
