All “types” of liposuction have as the goal: fat removal. High-Definition Liposuction 360 is a sculpting approach, not a reductive procedure. Fat is naturally layered on the body frame and muscles. The fatty tissue layer under the skin provides essential padding, but also defines curves. The High-Definition liposuction approach starts with the end goal, the desired shape in mind at the beginning. The approach is to start with the imagined result in mind and remove fat as needed to define the natural curves for each patient’s body. Applying this sculpting principle to surgery, the patient is treated in different positions (on the back, on the tummy, on the side) to continuously shape the body. Fat may be added (for example to the buttocks or breasts) to enhance shape.
High Definition Liposuction in Charlotte is an advanced approach to body sculpting. Contrary to popular belief, it is not driven by a machine or a specific technology. Power-assisted liposuction, laser liposuction, ultrasound-assisted liposuction, or water-assisted liposuction are all different technologies that use different energy sources to facilitate fat removal. But none of these technologies on their own are HD liposuction.
On the other hand, High Definition Liposuction is an intentional approach to sculpt the body, not to simply remove a large amount of fat cells. It is based on anatomical knowledge of the underlying frame and the ideal natural shape and curves of a specific person’s body. As you can see in before and after photos , High-Definition Liposuction literally sculpts the body to create waist definition, defined curves and a flat tummy.
What is High Definition Liposuction?
Like a sculptor, the High-Definition Liposuction procedure in Charlotte treats the body circumferentially. The patient is turned during the procedure to define the waist and literally shape the body. It would be impossible to “sculpt” if the subject is only in one position. By removing the fatty tissue from different areas, the underlying anatomy can be defined. By understanding the anatomy three-dimensionally, the “frame,” the muscular definition can be uncovered to reveal natural curves.
Sculpting the Female Body
The beauty of the female body is its curves that flow to create different proportions for different body shapes. Cosmetic procedures like High-Definition liposuction seek to emphasize the three-dimensional convex and concave curved lines joined at inflection points. The shape these lines form is an Ogee, a natural shape that is an ideal of body contouring procedures.
In the image to the left, white arrows the concave curve defines the waist, the convex curve defines the hips, thighs, and buttocks. The inflection point, the yellow arrow, where the curves join, is the bony prominence of the pelvic bone.
HD liposuction is the pre-planned sculpting of the soft tissue over the musculoskeletal frame to create enhanced ogee curves. This is so much more than removing pockets of excess fat. This intentional approach is customized for each woman’s frame based on the precise high-definition liposuction results desired.
High Definition Liposuction can help slim down your abdomen, enhance the shape of your buttocks, remove bra rolls and muffin tops, and more.
Most patients need 7 to 10 days before resuming their regular routine after a High Definition Liposuction. Dr. Ditesheim may recommend avoiding strenuous activity for up to a month after surgery.
Depending on the patient, High Definition Liposuction cost will vary. Total cost will be determined during your consultations with Dr. Ditesheim.
"I now walk into a room with confidence on my face. I am pleased to get rid of the extra weight that I could not lose from diet and exercise."
Simply, High-Definition Liposuction is a completely different approach to liposuction. Traditional liposuction removes fat. Each “type” or machine uses some type of energy (heat, laser, ultrasonic, water-jet, vibration, nutational) to make it easier to mobilize and remove fat. Some work faster, while some have more recovery.
It is often confusing with all the different “types” of liposuction machines (Smart-Lipo, Ultrasonic Lipo, Laser, lipo, Tickle Lipo, Power Lipo, Water-lipo) to wonder which is best. It is also confusing to understand how High-Definition Liposuction in Charlotte is different from traditional liposuction.
"Thanks to Aquashape, I have CURVES Again!"
I am a 54-year-old lady looking to get back into dating and needed some confidence! I had the Aquashape/ water shaping lipo. What a difference!... I love the way I look now. I have curves again and a flat stomach. Thank you Dr. Ditesheim!
Everyone is a candidate for High-Definition Liposuction. HDL does not have to have “abdominal etching” or have the chiseled look. By removing fat with the intention to shape the body, every person selecting liposuction will have the best, customized result. Being in a healthy place with good skin quality, and not smoking, is essential to get the best results from any surgery. The more the muscles are defined, the more shape will be seen after the procedure.
What Happens During a High Definition Liposuction Procedure?
High-Definition Liposuction must be performed by a very experienced surgeon in an accredited operating room under general anesthesia. The procedure can take 2-5 hours. Before the procedure, an anatomical “map” is drawn on the patient to identify the anatomical highlights, bone and muscle definition. This visual plan is photographed and then used in the operating room. The patient is treated circumferentially, removing or adding fat where needed to restore the youthful, athletic natural shape. Vaser Liposuction is used for the precision of the ultrasound probe. Ultrasound can selectively emulsify fat in the delicate superficial fat pad under the skin without injury to vital structures like skin, nerves, or blood vessels. This is different from laser or Smart Lipo or Air Sculpt which uses laser heat to melt fat. This causes severe scarring and collateral damage. Precision is the key to the High-definition sculpting.
Results from HD Liposuction
The patient whose pictures are shown above , before and 1 year after high-definition liposuction with VASER liposuction, which is an ultrasound-assisted liposuction procedure, has restored natural curves. She was treated both prone and supine (lying face-down, then laying face up) to shape the body circumferentially.
The High-Definition Vaser liposuction sculpting gave her a flat tummy that also enhanced the underlying muscles. Notice how the central core of the abdomen now stands separate from the oblique planes on the side. You can see the central area because the lateral border of the rectus (abdominal) muscles has been defined three-dimensionally.
With High Definition Liposuction, 80% of the waist definition is sculpted from the back. You can see in the oblique view at right, how the waist defines the entire torso, abdomen, and buttocks. Unwanted body fat was removed from the abdomen, the back, around the buttocks, and from the inner thighs.
Recovery is longer by a few weeks with High-Definition Liposuction but the results can be dramatic. This intentional body sculpting can be used for anyone to achieve superior body contouring men and women.
