Instead, we use local anesthesia in small cases like banana roll liposuction, meaning you’ll be alert but remain pain-free. IV sedation, or “twilight anesthesia,” is also available.
Dr. Ditesheim begins the procedure by numbing the treatment area and making small incisions for the cannula to be inserted into the skin. Patients with jobs that don’t require physical labor (office jobs) can usually return to work within a few days to a week.
Light exercise is usually permitted after two weeks. However, don’t resume activity before getting the “green light” from Dr. Ditesheim. You should avoid strenuous exercise and heavy lifting for at least three weeks.
It can take several months for the swelling to subside completely. You’ll notice improvements in the contour of your backside almost immediately, but the full results of your banana roll liposuction to become visible can take up to six months.
