Nothing is more frightening than the appearance of breasts on a male chest at any age!

Over 25 years treating boys and men of all ages with gynecomastia, I hear the same questions over and over: “Can male breasts be fixed? What will gynecomastia surgery cost? Where do I go for gynecomastia surgery?

Yes, gynecomastia can be “fixed” and a normal masculine chest restored. The frustration and dysmorphic body image will be gone forever.

Will insurance pay for gynecomastia surgery?

Even though you may think of the gynecomastia as a medically necessary procedure, in 25 years, I have not seen insurance plans cover the costs. Restoring a normal, masculine chest that brings you freedom and renewed confidence is priceless. Gynecomastia surgery will be an investment that will last a lifetime.

How much does gynecomastia surgery cost?

For most guys , the cost for the gynecomastia surgery is $6950.* The procedure is a combination of liposuction and glandular excision. The results are immediate. You are awake, but don’t feel any pain. You can drive home yourself.

About 10% of guys with can be treated with liposuction only. The cost is slightly less.

About 10%, guys with more complex gynecomastia (Grade 4) often require additional treatment like skin excision, reposition of the nipple or Renuvion, a new type of skin tightening. The cost for treating complex Gynecomastia is individualized. Our staff can help you with financing options, including a 12 month no interest plan to make the procedure more affordable.

*Fee assumes gynecomastia surgery under local anesthesia.

How do I know what Gynecomastia surgery will really cost me?

Looking at the photos below, you can see if there is someone who looks like you. Are you more like someone who is a Gynecomastia Grade 1 or 2 or do you have a complex Gynecomastia Grade 3 or 4? While the fees listed reflect the procedures for these patients, they are used to provide an accurate estimate of what you could expect. The fees are not intended to be a warranty or guarantee of what your cost may be. After a consultation with Dr. Ditesheim, you will know exactly what your gynecomastia surgery will cost and what it will include.
