Teen Breast Reduction
, Breast Reduction: Bra size: F, G, H, I or larger
Description:
This 16yr old young woman with large pendulous breasts was treated with a Lollipop Breast Reduction ( no scar in cleavage or on outer breasts), removing 3.5lb. Her whole life changed. She is now an active dancer, very physically active and more self-confident. This is her story:
"Growing up, I've always had bigger breasts. Seeing my friends and people on social media being able to wear all these cute shirts made me feel insecure. They didn't have to worry about the pain of bras jabbing into my skin causing marks and having a lot of back pain. My sophomore year, they began to grow even bigger and I became even more self-conscious. I knew when people saw me that that is what they saw and nothing else. I began wearing baggy clothes all the time because I didn't want them to be seen. During my junior year, I began researching a breast reduction. Before I went to talk to my mom, I already knew where I wanted to go to get it done and I knew the cost. My mom was so understanding and on board. The only issue was my father. He didn't think it was necessary because he's never heard me express how I feel. Once my dad and I had a serious conversation, he agreed to the surgery.
Today, I am 6 months post-op and I couldn't be happier. I understood that having a smaller breast would be better but it's even better than I could've imagined. I don't feel so weighed down. I can finally dance how I really want and wear things that I couldn't wear before. I can wear a bra without it hurting me and don't even get me started about not having any more back pain! All around this surgery has made me so much more confident and anyone who is thinking about getting it, you should. Many people said, "You're only 16! You need to wait". But I knew this was what I needed. I want to thank Dr. Ditesheim and his team for making this not only an amazing experience, making sure I was comfortable, and having the best techniques for a quick and easy recovery, but for making my dream come true.
