Are you looking to add contour and shape to your body and enhance your natural features? Liposuction is one of the most sought-after cosmetic procedures to tone and reshape the tummy, thighs, hips, arms, and more.
If you’re considering liposuction, you may be familiar with various methods such as Vaser liposuction, water-assisted approaches, and possibly come across names like AirSculpt® or Sono Bello.
Sono Bello is a brand specializing in cosmetic surgery. They are one of the “Wall Street plastic surgery” giants. The company provides laser liposuction and some other body contouring procedures. You may have heard of laser-assisted liposuction marketed by another company, Elite Body Sculpture, under the name “AirSculpt®.” You may have also heard of laser-assisted lipo called SmartLipo.
Sono Bello’s main procedure is laser liposuction, often dubbed “TriSculpt” for marketing purposes.
TriSculpt is simply the term used to refer to a relatively old technology- laser-assisted liposuction. Sono Bello claims the TriSculpt method helps contour and shape problem areas while tightening the skin using lasers. Sono Bello’s marketing team promotes TriSculpt as a less invasive option to traditional liposuction, where, in reality, it’s just as intrusive.
Sono Bello, a large corporation that directs patients to local clinics, cannot guarantee that the doctor you’re assigned to has extensive experience. While their doctors may hold board certifications, but it’s not their own clinic. Patients don’t have a personal consultation with a physician before undergoing the procedure. A layperson (not a nurse or a doctor) examines patients and recommends the best procedure. Sono Bello patients don’t meet with a practicing physician until the day of surgery. Sometimes, the only interaction with the doctor performing the surgery is the day of the surgery, meaning there is little to no aftercare offered.
One of the most important things to understand about any liposuction procedure is the importance of selecting the right surgeon. The best results come from plastic surgeons with proper judgment, artistry, and expertise.
Airsculpt and Sono Bello are types of “Wall Street plastic surgeries,” meaning they’re more focused on making money rather than offering optimal patient care and results. The people performing these surgeries often take potentially dangerous shortcuts.
Don’t you want to meet your doctor before committing to plastic surgery? The best liposuction care starts and ends with a solid doctor-patient relationship and focuses on patient safety.
Major corporations, like Sono Bello, use slick advertisements to grab your attention. While it can be tempting to “believe” the ads, it’s critical for your health and safety to only have plastic surgery done by a board-certified plastic surgeon. Remember, anyone can advertise lipo regardless of training and experience.
Sono Bello and similar companies will often ask patients to put down a lump sum before ever meeting with a plastic surgeon. Consider this a huge red flag. An experienced, respected plastic surgeon will not ask for surgery payment before meeting with you.
Different lipo techniques use various energies, including radiofrequency, ultrasound, and laser energy. Laser energy is becoming less popular in advanced clinics. That said, if your surgeon doesn’t have the skills to perform your procedure properly, you’re at a high risk of unfavorable results no matter what technique you choose.
Almost all liposuction procedures use needles, incisions, or stitches. The biggest difference between laser-assisted and traditional liposuction is using laser technology to help melt away fat. Melting fat before extraction doesn’t produce better results than any other lipo technology. More advanced, better technologies exist, including water and Vaser lipo.
Like traditional lipo, the doctor manually removes unwanted fat cells through incisions in the treatment areas. Sono Bello claims TriSculpt is superior to traditional liposuction because it is performed while the patient is awake. Other kinds of liposuction, including water-assisted and Vaser, can be performed awake just as easily as TriSculpt.
Another claim Sono Bello makes is that laser-assisted lipo renders a shorter, easier recovery. The recovery timeline is similar to traditional liposuction. In general, your recovery depends more on how much fat is removed and how many areas are treated simultaneously than the type of liposuction.
As with any liposuction procedure, patients often experience mild discomfort, swelling, and bruising for a few days post-op. The final results also show up around the same time, which is a few months, once the swelling completely subsides. Like traditional liposuction, most TriSculpt patients can return to work within a few days.
Sonobello may advertise cutting-edge technology, but the real message is that they’re cutting corners. Here are the main differences between having lipo at Sono Bello compared to Ditesheim Cosmetic Surgery.
In general, lipo doesn’t tighten your skin by much. When TriSculpt or any other lipo technique is used with Renuvion or J-plasma (a heat-based adjunctive technology), there can be “skin tightening.” But it’s not from TriSculpt.
The average cost of a Sono Bello micro-laser liposuction is $2500 – $4500 for a single area, and additional charges could apply, potentially resulting in a significantly higher actual cost. The final cost might be in the vicinity of $10,000 or even higher.
